Botox, Evolved

Simply stated: Botox has evolved. When it initially arrived on the cosmetic skincare scene, the injectable was primarily used to erase lines and wrinkles on the upper face. It has since proven itself to be a multi-faceted tool.

When modestly placed throughout the face, Botox interrupts the muscle contractions that cause facial lines and wrinkles, making it an incredibly effective “relaxer” that prevents wrinkles from forming in the first place. This advanced understanding of Botox’s function recently coincided with the rise of “baby Botox,” a minimalist approach that hypertargets smaller doses of Botox for more natural results.

Today, Botox is considered a valuable facial refinement tool for women starting in their late twenties. Used in moderation, it can be injected gradually to ensure you’re comfortable with the results. It can also be used in combination with fillers — such as those made from hyaluronic acid: a naturally occurring, organic substance — to create subtle, natural results that embrace your unique aesthetic. This is my ultimate goal at Brooklyn Face & Eye, where a less-but-better philosophy guides my bespoke approach to holistic facial refinement.
